Our programs:

ROCC Climbers leadership program for BIPOC youth that develops them to CREATE, LEAD, INSPIRE, MOTIVATE & BUILD the world around them. Youth will learn basic Swahili, self-expression through writing, financial literacy, participate in nature-based activities and connect with other cultures of color.

Youth can connect through:

Healthy Climbers - Coming this Spring.

After School ROCC: ROCC Climbers has partnered with school district ISD 197 to make our leadership program accessible for BIPOC youths. We are currently in Heritage and Friendly Hills Middle School once a week.

ROCC 2 Nature - designed to encourage the love of nature in youths of color and underserved youth living in West St. Paul and throughout Dakota County by hosting free nature-based community activities and bringing learning opportunities to the doorsteps of those living in apartment complexes in partnership with Dakota County Parks and Dodge Nature Center.

ROCC Climbers Garden: promotes healthy eating while teaching our youth the importance of growing their own food through the guidance and partnership with Dodge Nature Center Master Gardeners. Youths will learn real gardening knowledge and skills to maintain their own garden at home.  All produce grown will be given to families facing food insecurities.

Climbers and the Gap - program focuses on relationship building and removing barriers that culture and gaps in generation causes between youths and seniors.

Community Programs

The Renters of West St. Paul (The ROW): monthly meetings and listening sessions at Wentworth library to educate renters on their rights and provide resources that promote personal development and sustainability.

Resources ROCC: monthly resource event that provides access to rental assistance, wellness checks, domestic and sexual abuse support, employment and vocational opportunities in partnership with 360 Communities and Dakota Child and Family Clinic.

Annual Events:

Juneteenth Celebration: ROCC began hosting Juneteenth Celebration in 2020 and has been in partnership with Dodge Nature Center since 2022 to bring awareness and fun to the community.

We were instrumental in getting the City of West St. Paul to recognize the now federal and state holiday. ROCC donated the Juneteenth flag that flies every year at city Hall.

ROCC The City Back2School Bash: Backpack and school supply giveaway. Distributed over 800 backpacks since 2020 with the help of donations and community partners.
